We are 3 metal heads bringing you an elitist-free podcast of all things metal and hardcore.

Hope you guys like long episodes! Didn’t mean for this one too go so long but after adding in clips for the interview she ended up near 3 hours! Luckily the interview with Phantom Slaughter of Worm is insanely cool so I don’t think you guys will mind.

We talked about his history with metal, the new album, and he brought us 10 of his favorite obscure funeral doom/death doom releases. For the normal episode we talked about what we’ve been listening to and answered some listener questions including the state of death metal in 2021, music/albums that have actually scared/disturbed us, and whether we are into the cassette trend.

Interview starts at around the 1hr 15 minute mark if you want to skip to that. It was recorded on 10/13/21

If your crazy enough to not have checked out Realms of Eternal Decay yet from 2018 do yourself a favor and do that first then be ready for the new one.
Side note – recorded this one on August 9th but just finally got a chance to finish it up!

Episode Recorded on April 22

Derrick Vella of Tomb Mold is back and for the first half of the episode we kept it casual and talked about quarantine life, Tomb Mold, his new doom project, what metal we’ve been listening to including new stuff and a lot of older stuff, joining Outerheaven, favorite hardcore bands/albums, and a whole lot more.

The 2nd half of the podcast is were things get weird and is all about our love for the band The Drive by Truckers. For those unfamiliar, they are basically an alternative country/southern rock type band but really pretty hard to classify. There’s no metal to be found here. We realized we are both obsessed with this band a while back and Derrick through out the idea of ranking our top 20 songs from them. I loved it. You probably wont. Thats ok. It just gave us something to break up the quarantine boredom and have some fun with. Even if your not into it there was a lot of interesting side conversations throughout so its worth giving a chance to. For the two of you out there that get all the way through the episode we solute you!

Yes the world is falling apart around us with the coronavirus and maybe we should have picked a more uplifting topic but hey this is metal right? This one was in the works for a while so there was no turning back especially after all the hard work our guest Tyson Tilly put in to bring us some background on what he considers 5 of the most essential Death Doom releases. Ty writes for metal website Heaviest of Art so make sure and go check out the site and give them a follow. Go check him out on Instagram as well at “Tytilly” for a lot of great metal recommendations and content. We also talked about what we’ve been listening to and have an interview at the end of the episode with Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride to talk about their latest album as well as there classic “Turn Loose the Swans” album.
