Had a big chat with Zak Carter of Outerheaven about his metal path, some of the albums that made the biggest impact on him growing up, the upcoming Outerheaven album, and a lot of Death metal and Iron Maiden talk. If your crazy enough to not have checked out Realms of Eternal Decay yet from 2018 do yourself a favor and do that first then be ready for the new one. Side note – recorded this one on August 9th but just finally got a chance to finish it up!
The boys returned to there origins of recording in person for this one. Topics included new recommendations, Between the Buried and Me concert review and review of Colors 2, review of the new Carcass album “Torn Arteries”, a little talk on how our musical tastes have changed since we started the cast, and an interview with Aaron Weaver of Wolves in the Thrown Room. It was a super interesting conversation about the mountains, magic, spirituality, how nature is reflected/ inspires the music, psychedelic’s, the importance of nature for happiness, and a lot more.

We realized we are both obsessed with this band a while back and Derrick through out the idea of ranking our top 20 songs from them. I loved it. You probably wont. Thats ok. It just gave us something to break up the quarantine boredom and have some fun with. Hey guys I did an interview on April 2nd with Phil Tougas of Chthe’ilist, Frist Fragment, Funebrarum, Eternity’s End, Cosmic Atrophy, Atramentus and previously of Zealotry, Equipoise, Serocs, and a few others.
